Favorite Recipe

Hot Crab Fondue

  • Three 8 oz. pkgs. softened Cream Cheese
  • 1 5 oz. jar Old English Cheese
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/4 c. dry white wine
  • 2 T. confectioner's sugar
  • Seasoned salt to taste
  • 16 oz. fresh lump crab meat

Combine softened cheeses, mayonnaise, garlic, mustard, wine, sugar, and seasoned salt in double boiler, blending well until mixture is smooth and warm. Gently stir in crab meat and heat through thoroughly. When ready to serve, pour into a chafing dish or fondue pot over low heat. May also use hollowed out round loaf of crusty bread. Add crab mixture to bread, place on baking sheet in preheated 375 deg. oven for 15-20 minutes prior to serving. Serve with French bread cubes, toasted pita, or fancy crackers.
