Line bottom and sides of pie pan with half of the cookie crumbs. In a bowl, mix butter, sugar, and egg yolks. Add nuts. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites. Fold egg whites into butter mixture. Spread on top of cookie crumbs. Whip cream and spread on top. Do not substitute with Cool Whip. Sprinkle remaining cookie crumbs on top. Chill for 6 hours.
