| Mix 1 cup flour, cereal, brown sugar, salt, baking soda, cinnamon and undissolved yeast. Heat milk, water and margarine to 120°-130°. Add to dry ingredients and beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Add applesauce, eggs and 1 cup flour. Beat at high speed 2 minutes. Stir in walnuts and enough additional flour to make a soft dough. Cover; let rise in warm draft-free place until doubled, about 1 hour. Stir batter down; divide equally between 2 well-greased 1 1/2-quart casseroles. Cover; let rise until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes, or until done. Remove from casseroles and cool on wire racks. |
