Last Of The Garden Mixed Pickles

- All kinds of beans
- carrots
- little onions
- celery
- brussel sprouts
- tiny heads of cabbage
- cauliflower
- sweet potatoes
- 2 qt. cider venegar
- 2 qt. water
- 5 tsp. pickling salt
- 5 -6 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp. tumeric
- 1/3 c. pickling spice tied in cloth bag

| Cook until almost tender any beans, carrots, onions, celery, brussel sprouts and cabbage. Cook slightly any cauliflower or sweet potatoes. Alternate the vegetables as you pack them in jars. Make brine as follows; vinegar, water, pickling salt, sugar, dry mustard, tumeric and plickling spice. Bring the brine with the bag of spice to a boil. Pour brine in jars to cover vegetables. Allow 3/4 inch space at top of jar. Process in cold water bath for 20 minutes. |
