Lasagne

  • 3 # ground chuck
  • 2 lg cans Italian tomatoes (12 oz)
  • 3 small cans tomato paste
  • 3 medium onions
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbs. Parsley
  • 1 Tbs. Oregano
  • 1 Tbs. Basil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 Box lasagne noodles
  • 1 small cottage cheese (lg.curd)
  • 1 Pkg. Swiss Cheese
  • 1 Pkg. Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 pat butter
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 Tbs. cornstarch
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
     
 
Spaghetti Sauce: Brown ground chuck with onions, salt and pepper to taste. Add spices; then tomatoes and tomato paste. Add bay leaves and garlic; simmer and stir frequently for about 4 hours.Place spaghetti sauce on bottom of 9 x 13 pan. Place 3 noodles (salt lightly), spaghetti sauce, cheese (tear up), white sauce and Parmesan sauce, noodles... repeat this. When on last layer make sure white sauce is on top. Give extra coat of Parmesan cheese. Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until brown. Let cool for 15 minutes so it cuts neatly.
