Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 2 sticks unsalted butter ( 1 cup)
  • 3/4 c. light brown sugar
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 t. baking soda
  • 1 t. vanilla 1/4 c. white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 8 oz. white chocolate chips (Ghirardelli are best)
  • 12 oz. large milk chocolate chips ( Ghirardelli are best)
  • 2 c. chopped pecans
  • pecan halves for top of cookies
     
 
Cream butter and sugars. Add egg and vanilla. Add dry ingredients at low speed. Put small spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Press a pecan half onto each cookie. Bake at 365 degrees for 13 - 14 minutes. Makes approximately 42 cookies.
