Pumpkin Dessert

  • 1 (29-oz.) can pumpkin
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 (13-oz.) can evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • (you may substitute 2 - 3 tsp. pumpkin spice for the cinnamon, ginger, & nutmeg)
  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1 c. melted butter
  • 1 c. chopped nuts (opt.)
     
 
Beat together pumpkin, eggs, milk, sugar, and spices. Put in 9 x 13-inch ungreased cake pan. Sprinkle dry cake mix over mixture. Pour butter over everything. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Serve with Cool Whip.
