3 med. Granny Smith apples, peeled and cut into lg. chunks
1 lg. navel orange, peeled and sectioned
1 c. figs
1 lg. peeled banana
1 c. prunes
8 oz. almonds
2 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 c. sweet Concord grape wine
Using a food processor, chop each fruti separately into a moderately fine consistency and set aside. Chop nuts in processor. Do not overprocess. (If any of the ingredients are too dry to process easily, add some of the wine to moisten that ingredient.) Blend the processed fruit and nuts in a large bowl. Add wine and ginger and blend thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate. Makes about 6 to 7 cups. Serves 40.
